Google ads are one of the best ways to rank our website in the first place, provided the website SEO is top notch. It helps to give an edge over the other competitors and help us with regular and eligible traffic to the site. 



Improve the quality score: Quality score is a metric that assigns a value of 0-10 for the keywords used. Improving the quality score will help the ad perform better in a lesser amount spent. They are also said to have higher click through rate (CTR).  


Use the best ad extensions: Using suitable ad link extensions will help you add additional links to the existing ones and hence will improve the CTR, they also look similar to the organic search results.  

 Call extensions: Now this can be a game changer, people find it easy to directly call from the ad than go to the website and search for contact number. 

 Promotion extension: Who doesn’t like attractive discounts and offers, that’s what you do in ad too, you can also add the price or any other offers or coupons that is given to the particular product. 


Use smart bidding methods: Instead of manually setting the bidding strategy and cpc, Google now uses machine learning and sets the best bid where the ads are most likely to get clicks and hence improving CTR. 


Test different ad types: Instead of sticking to one ad type, while preparing the ad itself check the ad strength preview section. It shows suggestions for the best optimized ad. It is also said that the responsive text ads are also having improved CTRs. 

Attractive ad copy: If our ad copy is similar to that of our competitors our CTR is likely to be down. Highlight our unique selling points and clearly explain how we are different from our competitors for better CTRs. 


Use small keyword groups: Instead of using a broad keyword group, use small groups of matching or probable keywords and also make sure that the ad copy contains the keywords at least twice. 


Split test the ad copy: Google ads provide the provision to run and experiment different versions of the same ad, hence we can analyze the performance and stick to the better performing ad. Just remember to switch off the worst performing ad once you have found the d-ad. 


Remarketing audience: Remarketing the product/service to a particular sect of people who have visited our site once, or who have interacted with the product they have higher chance of clicking or buying the product. Remarketing is hence a powerful tool towards ads.
